The dashboard shows that the median house value has increased in all counties over time. Jasper County housing market has shown strong growth over the past decade, with the average home value reaching $243,700 in 2022. The dashboard also shows housing value by tenure as a major component in household expenditures in 2022.

Definition	Median Housing Value: The median divides the value distribution into two equal parts: one-half of the cases falling below the median value of the property (house and lot) and one-half above the median. No Cash Rent Housing Unit: The unit may be owned by friends or relatives who live elsewhere and who allow occupancy without charge. Rent-free houses or apartments may be provided to compensate caretakers, ministers, tenant farmers, sharecroppers, or others. Census Block Group: A statistical subdivision of a census tract, generally defined to contain between 600 and 3,000 people and 240 and 1,200 housing units, and the smallest geographic unit for which the Census Bureau tabulates sample data.
